Paul Douglas Howryla, 55, of Wilmington passed away Monday, October 24, 2011.

He was born on January 31, 1956 in Butler, PA, where he grew up and graduated from Butler Senior High School . He was an active Boy Scout and was awarded the honor of being an Eagle Scout. Paul served in the Army National Guard and was retired from General Electric Air Craft Engines.

Remembered is his daughter, Lynette Messick who preceded him in death.
Paul is survived by his wife, Rosemary Howryla; daughter, Marylee Reaume and son-in-law Gabriel Reaume; his parents, Michael and Arlene Howryla of Butler, PA; sister, Joyce Sheakley and husband
Baxter, and brother, Rick Howryla and wife Carol.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation Chapel, 1535 S 41st St., Wilmington, NC.
A memorial mass will be 10 am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at St. Therese Catholic Catholic Church, 207 S. Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cape Fear Community College Marine Science Program 411 N. Front St., Wilmington, NC 28401.

    I worked with Paul at Spang in East Butler years ago. He was a great guy and a intelligent person.I never saw him again since then but I bet he was a fine man. I wish the best for his family. Peace be with you!
