Memorial Gifts & Donations

Paul Edward Keck, 69, of Wilmington, NC, passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2022, after learning of a lymphoma diagnosis days prior.

Paul was born on March 9, 1952, in Yonkers, NY. After graduating from high school in New Jersey, he went on to Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan to get a Bachelors’s in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he met the love of his life Debra, while on a weekend trip to Washington, DC. He worked for Flowserve (formally Ingersoll-Rand) for the next 40 years before retiring at age 63. He traveled extensively through many parts of the world and lived in Singapore with his family for many years. Though he touched the lives of many during that time, the lives most important to him were of his wife, children and dogs.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Debra S. Keck, his daughters Jennifer Lynn and Kathleen Helen Keck. He’ll be greatly missed by his beloved Dog, Daisy. He is preceded in death by his dog Winston and we’re confident they are joyfully reconnecting right now. In addition to his immediate family, Paul leaves behind an incredible extended family and many friends.

Paul’s mission in life was to take care of and provide for his family. They enjoyed family vacations all over the globe but his favorite spots were the beaches of Thailand and the cool waters of Alaska that he enjoyed on a cruise.

There are no services planned at this time, however, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, details to follow.

An infamous motto that Paul lived by was simply, “do what you said you were going to do.”

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Paul’s requested rescue – Cavalier Rescue USA, c/o Carolyn Stigler, 6400 N Paseo Tamayo, Tucson, AZ 85750.

    Elizabeth DeGregorio says:
Frank and I were so sad to learn of Paul's passing. Our hearts go out to Debra, Kathleen, Jennifer, siblings Ann and Richard, and all of Pauls's extended family and friends. We had not seen Paul and Debra for some time now, but know that Paul was a good, hard working family man and will be missed by so many.

    Robert Keck says:
Paul and I were birds of a feather even though we flew in different flocks. Paul worked in many parts of the world as I did working for Fluor Corporation in Saudi Arabia. Paul and I have traded many stories about our adventures and I cherish them. My prayers go to all his family.

    Betsy (Clark) Dawson says:
So very sorry for this loss. Paul was caring and gallant from the moment he and Deb met that weekend in DC. They were destined to be together, and I could not imagine his family's pain. Love and prayers to them all.
