Paula Jean Berry Peterson lost her battle with cancer after a long courageous fight that ended on Monday, May 25, 2020 with both sons in her arms.

Born in Wilmington, North Carolina on March 13, 1961 and graduated from John T. Hoggard High School, Paula had a long career in the shipping industry as a freight forwarder. Every weekend she could be found at Carolina Beach, dancing and laughing with friends around the island.

She is preceded in death by her father Boyd Orlando Berry and survived by her Mother Maudell Presly Berry Anderson and a brother, Steven Wayne Berry. Also survived by two loving sons, Dustin Boyd Peterson and Chase Wilson Peterson and their father Stuart Wilson Peterson, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered by many and forgotten by none. For those individuals who have given their time, efforts and support to her through her life and in her most needing time, the family extends their greatest thanks and respect.
