Memorial Gifts & Donations

Peggy Ann Peterson Boswell, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023, in her hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born on March 20, 1943, and lived a remarkable life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Family was of utmost importance to Peggy. Following the loss of her beloved mother thirteen years ago, she found solace and comfort in the loving embrace of her daughter, Angela Boswell. Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared a deep and meaningful connection that brought them both tremendous happiness.

Peggy’s heart overflowed with love for her children and her grandchild. She leaves behind her son, Wayne Boswell Jr., and a daughter, Angela Boswell, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Her grandson, Jaron Boswell, held a special place in her heart, and their time spent together was filled with laughter, love, and treasured moments.

In addition to her immediate family, Peggy is survived by her brother, Michael Peterson, and his wife, Beth, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a pillar of strength for her extended family, offering support and guidance whenever needed.

Peggy led a life that was simple yet full of beauty. She had a fondness for dolls, stuffed animals, and the color pink. Her yellow kitchen was a vibrant reflection of her sunny disposition. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching old TV shows, finding solace in the nostalgia they evoked.

A celebration of Peggy’s remarkable life will be held at a later date, allowing those who loved her to come together and honor her memory. In the meantime, may we find solace in knowing that Peggy’s spirit lives on within each of us, a reminder of the incredible impact one person can have on the lives of others.

Peggy will be missed dearly by her loved ones, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy of love and inspiration will endure for generations to come.

I will always cherish the early memories of watching “Flipper” and eating popcorn with my Mom after our many trips to the playground. I kept Mom on her toes with my many adventures like when I , along with my little sister used her sheets to make a tent outside. I loved my Mom and will always miss her. God gave me a special gift when he gave me my Mom, she was like a precious jewel.

As you go about this new journey in your story, I am so happy to know that you are whole, with all your difficulties healed. I hope there's some good shopping up there with a lot of pretty things. One of the things I'll always remember is icicles on your Christmas tree, still today. I love you Peggy and will always miss you.
