    Bob Sample says:
Phil was more than my 'barber', we were and always will be, 'brothers in the faith'. His heart was always seeking the needs of another before his own. His words of wisdom will live forever in my heart. In honor of Phil, I will mourn for the moment and then celebrate with him forever.

Phi will be missed by all. I always looked forward to returning back to Wilmington to be greeted by Phil's wonderful smile and friendly handshake. Phil was doing what he loved, cutting hair and venturing out on the water, up until the day he passed away. Hats off to Phil for a wonderful life.
