Philip Alan Ulecki, 70, of Holly Ridge, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home.

Born in Hamtramck, MI, on June 6, 1943, he was a son of Virginia Ozinkowski Ulecki of Saint Claire Shores, MI and the late Leonard Alan Ulecki. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of VFW Post 9133 in Jacksonville, NC. Mr. Ulecki was retired from telecommunications and loved fishing, reading, and sports…especially the Detroit Red Wings.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Craig Ulecki (Lisa) of Dunn, NC; a daughter, Annie Weber (Rick) of North Mankato, MN; a brother, Gary Ulecki (Dorothy) of Jacksonville, NC; a sister, Janive Viviano of St. Claire Shores, MI; four grandchildren, Ashley Sexton (Jack), Ricky Weber, Leigh-ann Holland, Elizabeth Weber; and two great-grandchildren, Gavyn Weber, and Tatum Sexton.

A celebration of life service will be 4 pm Saturday at the VFW Post 9133; 1450 Piney Green Road; Jacksonville, NC 28546. A graveside, with military honors, will be 10 am Monday at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice; 1406 Physicians Drive; Wilmington, NC 28401.

    Hello, Ruby-I haven't used a lot of Apple products, but a coanmpy I worked with many years ago provided nothing but Mac computers, back when Apple was still a young coanmpy. I never really got used to them, probably for the same reason that I didn't like Windows much I was a DOS guy, and liked getting my hands dirty both Windows and Mac just seemed to be a little too glitzy for my tastes. But nobody can argue the fact that Apple has had a real impact on PC design, not to mention all their other product lines.
