Ralph Hill Guy, Jr, age 69 of Wilmington, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly to his eternal home above on Friday, December 20, 2013.

He was born in Wilmington on August 9, 1944 to the son of the late Ralph and Wilma Guy. He grew up in Wilmington and graduated from New Hanover High School.

Ralph worked hard as a Tug Boat Captain with McAllister Towing Company and always enjoyed being on the river. He was most generous with his time, always quick to offer help in the service to others.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Guy; daughter, Paula Guy; son, DeWayne Guy (Dawn); and grandson, Zackary Guy. Sisters, Denise Dunn (Bruce Williams), Teresa Jones (Jeff), Beth Roberts (Kenny), and a brother Steve Guy (Jeni); brother-in-law Larry Long (Charlene); many nieces and nephews including a special nephew, and extended family, friends, and church friends.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 2 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach. The family will see friends at the home.
