Ralph J. Springstead

Ralph J. Springstead of Calabash, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Universal Healthcare, Bolivia, NC.

He was born in Paterson, NJ, on September 3, 1930, the son of the late Ralph Sr. and Mariann (Baumgartner) Springstead.

Surviving besides his wife, Lois Springstead are: two sons, Curtis Springstead and wife Anne of Wanaque, NJ, Scott Springstead and wife Trudy of Cleveland, NC, a daughter, Lois Corigliano and husband Joseph of Mendham, NJ, five grandchildren, Marcy King, Jessica Viana, Erin Gaither, Lisa Springstead, Sara Springstead, and one great granddaughter, Mackenzie King.

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Friday, August 27, 2010, at Seaside Methodist Church, Sunset Beach.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780 New York, NY 10008-0780.

    Dear Lois, Don't know if you remember me but I worked with Ralph at Midland Products and we visited you way back in the 60's. We are sorry to hear about Ralph's homegoing. Strangely enough we also live in North Carolina since Nov.2008. We are up in Raleigh to be near our daughter in our old age. We want to extend our sincere sympathy to you and your family. Bea & Neil
