Ray C. Hinman, Jr., 91, died on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 after a brief illness with COVID. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on January 30, 1930. He was the son of Ray and Isabelle Hinman, Sr. He had resided in upstate NY, Allentown PA, Cape Carteret NC and lastly Wilmington NC and had graduated from Colgate University.
Mr. Hinman was employed by Chevron Oil Company. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served with the US Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska.
He was a parishioner of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, PA; member of Sigma Nu Fraternity previously active with his church choir, The Macungie Minstrelaires, Star Hill Golf Club in Cape Carteret; and Shepperd Hills Country Club in Wescosville, PA.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Jaramillo (Robert) of Edgewater, MD; Jennifer Magill (Buddy) of Wilmington, NC and Susan Waldman (Denise) of Waban, MASS; seven grandchildren; two nieces, Sarah Rowland, Peapack NJ and Kate Rowland, London, UK.
Predeceased by his wife, Betsy; sister, Gail Rowland, Bethlehem, PA and his parents, Ray and Isabelle Hinman of Boca Raton, FL.
