    Jim Maples says:
When God made Ray he broke the mold. Nothing can compare to flying with him. He always had a smile and never a bad word. Since he was a reserve Capt in INT and I was a reserve F/O, we used to always get last minute calls to fly together. especially ferries from the hangar. He will truly be missed. God bless you Ray, and may he comfort you and your family.

    Rich Carleton says:
I first met Ray when I worked as a Winston-Salem Police Officer and then reacquainted when I was hired and stationed in Greensboro with the United States Marshals Service. Ray was truly a gentleman and mentor. As an accomplished pilot, he was also a well respected law enforcement officer. I am saddened to hear of his passing but comforted to know Ray achieved what most men only dream about. Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts and prayers to the Tysinger family.
