Rebecca Hood Pittman, 65, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Davis Community, Wilmington.

She was born on January 21, 1953, daughter of John William Pittman and Mildred Hood Pittman. She was predeceased by her father, John William Pittman and an aunt, Grace Carter.

Surviving are her brother, Greg Pittman and wife, Karen of Wilmington and a nephew, Neil Gregory Pittman; an uncle, Ray N. Hood and wife Gloria; and several cousins.

A “celebration of life” gathering with reception will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington, NC.

    becky was the first friend that we made here in Wilmington over 40 years ago. it is impossible to share all of the good times and great fun that we all had together! i have to add there was nothing like spending an afternoon/evening around "beck-beck's" kitchen table, which happened quite often. becky will always be a big part of our fondest memories of yesteryears!! our sincere condolences to her family and relatives.

    I am so sorry to discover that Becky has passed. I knew her very well in the 1970's. We both worked at GE and had a lot of fun together. We both loved music. I just happened to have found recently an old super 8 movie of us going down the waterway in my boat. She loved the waterway. She was a wonderful person.
