    Wallace Bartlett says:
I met Reg in 2000 on a USCG AUX patrol. When we shared our history, Reg said that he had been a submarine sailor, I said I had toured the submarine Sea Robin at the Boston Navy Base my junior year in high school. Reg said, “I was on that boat!” We became soul mates. We would swap sea stories. His were from the US Navy and the Korean War.Mine were from the US Merchant Marine. After 9/11 Reg and I were both qualified to command a USCG patrol boat and made many voyages on the Cape Fear River to aid the USCG with the security for the Ammunition Port of Sunny Point. I will always remember Reg for his humorous wit, but more for his patriotism and true friendship. Rest in peace my friend.
