Reva June Rowley

Reva June Rowley, age 86 of Leland, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hopsice LifeCareCenter in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born in Elmira, New York to Jasper and Hazel (Rowe) Congdon on March 17, 1930.

Surviving are her daughter, Michele (Ciancio) Raub and husband Ken and stepdaughter, Donna (Vater) Corpening and husband J. Step-grandchildren, Jennifer Troccia Benson (Bobby Benson, III) and Derek Cornish; Also, surviving are extended family members, including nieces: Linda Manley (Tom), Jan VanGorden, Mary Gorst (Don) and and great nieces and nephews and great grandchildren and great great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Rowley; parents, Jasper and Hazel (Rowe) Congdon; daughter, Karen Vater; sister, Betty Holton and stepson, Raymond Vater.

Reva was a loving mother who enjoyed teaching dancing, going to the beach and loved birds and all animals. She also enjoyed knitting.

A graveside service will take place at a later date in Elmira, New York.

The family would like to thank Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter in Wilmington, North Carolina for all their love and care that they gave Reva in her final days.

    Reva was a true friend and will never be forgotten. I will miss our long conversations and her patience and understanding. She has taught me a lot about life and coping with disappointments. She made me realize what's really important in life; the people you love and the people who love you. She would want you to live your life and find your joy.
