Rev. Barry and Lynn Butler says:
To all of Brother Emanuel's family, We have known you for many years. And, your dad/husband has always lived his life stedfast, unmoveable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. He was a man who had a heart for God, and that heart for God led him to manifest God's love to all people. He was glad to be an instrument to be placed in the Master's hand. God used him mightily in the work of His kingdom. All of that work has now been rewarded as Brother Emanuel is now "absent from the body and present with the Lord." Love and prayers are with you all!

    Jimmy Hatcher says:
Rev. Vaster "Shorty" Emanuel was my brother-in-law for nearly 50 years. He was married to my only sister; Billie Joyce Hatcher Emanuel who passed away in 2001. Shorty a role model for his family, friends, church members, and anyone else who had the pleasure of knowing him. We will never know in this life how many people Shorty Emanuel led to the Lord during his many years as a pastor, evangelist, and missionary; but God keeps very good records and Shorty will be rewarded for the many years of faithful service. I am glad that his legacy will live on through his three daughter who are just as talented as both their Mother and Father were. They have big shoes to fill to continue aa ministry like their Dad's, but I have the upmost confidence that each one of them can do anything they set their heart to do. Shorty will be greatly missed, but he deserves the rest that he is now enjoying. We love you Rev. Vaster "Shorty" Emanuel. Thank you for all you have done for us.
