    Diane E. Doughty says:
I was married to Richard "Dick" Doughty from 1998 to 2017 after going on a blind date that friends had set up. Dick and I had many wonderful years together and we enjoyed camping with family and friends, skiing, and Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing golf-although never quite perfected the game!!! Dick worked in EMS as a paramedic for many years both at Capitol and Delta Ambulance in Maine and then went into his own business doing carpentry and remodeling. Dick ultimately went to work at the VA and enjoyed his job there working with and caring for other Veterans. He worked his way up from a second shift house keeper to management in the Environmental Services department. Dick had many friends here at the VA. He will be sadly missed by many. " Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, Love leaves a memory that no one can steal" Rest in peace Dick and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends in NC and Tennessee.

    Dennis and Cindy Passmore says:
I met Dick many years ago while working at Gardiner Fire. Many years down the road I was surprised to say he was married to my friend Diane who I met while working in the emergency room. We all spend many years together golfing, cruising, island hopping , New Years celebrations. My hubby and I will miss many long long long conversations with Dick. If you knew Dick he was a talker. With many fond memories in our hearts you will be missed. Rest peaceful God bless❤️
