Richard C. Scott, 49, of Wilmington, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 22, 2009.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Francis E. Scott.

He is survived by his mother, Elsie Scott, son Chris Scott and wife Bethany, Lexington, NC, daughter Ashley Scott and David Bradford, Leland, NC, Theresa Weber, the mother of his children, grandchildren Jackson Scott and Deven Bradford, aunts and uncles Dorothy and Jim Daley, Columbus, OH, and Thelma and John Moellendick, Waverly, WV.

Rick was a member of Long Leaf Baptist Church. He was a longtime little league baseball coach, an awesome dad and had a hilarious personality with an infectious smile.

The family had a private service.

    I remember Rick taking me, Dad, and Chris back through the sand dunes and trails in his Jeep. Ahhhh...good memories. Gonna miss you Rick. Love and prayers to Aunt Elsie and all the family.

    Where do I begin..Rick truely loved his family and did everything possible for us. He was always there for Chris and Ashley, even going to recitals in his baseball uniform. Rick is in a better place but forever in my heart. I'm gonna miss your smile and laughter. We all a an angel looking out for us.
