Richard Levoy Johnson 70, of Wilmington, NC died Sunday February 7, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Richard was born on November 28, 1950, in Florence, SC the son of the late William Carwell Johnson, Sr. and Myra Elizabeth Lemmons Johnson. He retired from Konicamindga where he was a Supervisor and Copier Technician.
Richard was an avid reader and History Buff, and loved the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is the love of his life of 30 years Phyllis T. Johnson of the home, brother Bill ‘Johnny” Johnson and wife Renee of Aiken, SC; daughters Samantha C. Herring and husband Jim of Ft. Worth, TX; Lori C. Hall of Wilmington and Lisa C. Knight of Hampstead. Grandchildren Ethan; Annabele; Lindsey; Spencer; Ella; Brayden and Andrew.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. His daughter and son-in-law will conduct the service. For family and friends unable to attend, you may view the service remotely on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Wilmingtoncares.
The family will see friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
