Richard P. Malouin, age 71, of Leland, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

He was born April 12, 1943 in Alltleboro, Massachusetts, the son of the late Joseph W. Malouin Sr. and Leona L’Hereux McCarthy.

Richard proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who cherished spending time in the company of his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Carolann Malouin; daughter, Melissa Davis and husband Francis Davis Jr.; four grandsons; Jacob, Matthew, Christopher and Zachary Davis; brothers, Joseph W. Malouin Jr. and Michael Malouin.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary, 412 Ann Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
