    Bonnie Eksten says:
Mr. Lockamy and I talked frequently when I was the business editor at the Star News. I knew that when my phone rang at 8:30, I could pour myself a cup of coffee and we could chat for 10 minutes or so on the "state of the city, or county or state or country." Sometimes he would call to tell me that my column was right on and sometimes how my column had missed the mark. Sometimes we chatted about flowers and sometimes we chatted about his family and how much he cared for you and how proud he was of you. When I retired, he was kind enough to track down my home phone number and keep in touch. I will always remember our "morning meetings" and your husband and father fondly. Sincerely, Bonnie Eksten

    Kim Garnette says:
Ann and family, I had the pleasure of meeting your Dad when he was looking for help for him and your Mom. Even though our business relationship ended, he continued to call me to chat from time to time. I always enjoyed our conversations. He was a great story teller and I always enjoyed hearing about "the good old days". I have thought of him often in the last few years and I know he is happy to be out of pain now. Condolences and blessings to your family.
