    John Kolbeck says:
I was shocked and stunned to learn of Bob's untimely death. Bob was my coach and mentor during the eighth grade back in 1965-1966. I knew him before as a Catholic Club lifeguard and enjoyed his smile. He drove me to Lexington,KY, Cleveland,Columbus,OH and Bloomington,IN. All to to get me to swim meets. I was swimming unattached and he got me in a little green MG. Bob was loved by all his co-workers, other swimmers and it was that smile that cheered us all. He will be greatly missed. Ginny my thoughts are with you and Brian you were lucky to have him as a Dad. I extend my deepest sympathy.
