Robert Gene McClelland, Sr. age 83 of Leland, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCareCenter.
He was born in Wilmington on July 16, 1939, to the late Charles William McClelland and Shirley Eichorn McClelland.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Paulette, 18 month old daughter, Misty, grandson Justin and granddaughter, Kiona.
Robert was a member of First Baptist Church in Leland. He was a proud veteran of the US Coast Guard and was retired from Federal Paper Company as a crane operator with 25 years of service.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert, Jr., Suzie, and Christi (Robert); grandchildren, Alicia (Nick), Sarah, Jennifer, Samantha, Holly and Katelynn; great- grandson, Tobias; one brother George along with extended family members.
Visitation will be 3-5 Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Village Road Chapel, 525 Village Road, Leland, NC 28451
