Robert Glenn Shaw 31, of Hampstead,NC passed on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at his residence.

He was born on November 18, 1980, in Wilmington,NC, the son and best friend of Arthur Glenn Shaw of Supply,NC and the late Harriet Anne Shaw.

Robert was an expert mechanic who loved to work on automobiles and boats as his job and his hobby.He also loved spending time with his two nephews and taking
them to work with him. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and colleagues.

Surving in addition to his father is his sister, Katherine Shaw Hotchkiss of Wilmington,NC;
two nephews,Jonathan and Bradley Rivenbark of Wilmington,NC; his grandmother Margaret Shaw
of Wilmington,Nc and many other relatives.

No services are planned at this time, only a private remembrance with family.

    So sorry to hear of your loss. Robert was one of my best friends since we were kids. And when I was just hospitalized around thanksgiving Robert was the first one to come make sure I was ok. He will be greatly missed. I couldn't have wanted a better friend than robert. I Wish he was still here. May God be with his family during this time of loss.

    My deepest condolences to Roberts family. Robert lived next to me on hoover rd for a few years. He became a great friend and was always helping me with my boat and truck. When Robert moved we still kept in touch. I spoke to Robert early December and still can't believe he is gone. Robert was a great guy who would always make me laugh. He quickly made friends everywhere he went. You could truly tell he loved working on just about anything. He will be greatly missed by myself and many others.
