Robert Kenneth Griffin, Jr. 83, of Wrightsville Beach died Saturday May 19, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Bob was born May 11, 1929 in Baltimore Md. and lived for many years in Lock Haven PA. Before moving to Wilmington DE. Bob served in the front lines of the Korean Conflict. Bob Graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg VA where he met his wife of 60 years Cameron Spotts Griffin. Bob retired to Wrightsville Beach NC.

Surviving are his wife of the home, four Children Cam Griffin, of Wilmington , Ken Griffin and wife Becky, of Tampa FL., Helen Johnson and husband Eric of St Louis MO., Gus Griffin and wife Marie of Nashville Tenn., grandchildren Sarah Halvorsen and husband Erik of Norfolk VA, Bob and Jake Griffin of Tampa FL., Christi Rejent and husband Tony, Heather and Hilary Johnson of St Louis MO , Therese and Max Griffin of Nashville, TN., and Lisa Griffith of New York, NY., brother Peter P. Griffin of Lock Haven, PA.

Bob was a member of St Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach where a Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday May 26, 2012.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Mary / Tileston Outreach, 412 Ann Street Wilmington, North Carolina 28401
