Robert Leslie Baverstock age 77 of Wilmington passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at his home.
Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 16, 1945. His parents were Robert L. Baverstock Sr. and Ruth Evelyn Boegler Baverstock.
Robert was a proud Veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam War from June 30, 1965, and discharged September 21, 1968. He was a life time member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Had a longtime career as a Salesman for office machines and supplies.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Irene Lemmer Baverstock; three children, Robert D. Baverstock, Brent Baverstock and Brenda Baverstock Mikkelson; grandchildren and extended family members.

“The Road”
The road I’ve walked has been a winding road. That had many turns and bends
I’ve walked the road with laughter and song and I’ve walked with road with fear.
Sometimes I walked with friends, Sometimes I walked alone. In all the years that I’ve walked
My destination was unknown.
Now in my older years, as I look back on my life.
I thank the Lord for my blessings, and forgiveness of my sins
I pray for family and friends and those who went before me
In the walk of my lifetime, I’ve stumbled now and then
They picked me up and held me, go with God my friends
The walk that we’re all upon, is the journey of the soul
