Robert Linwood Robbins, Sr.

Robert Linwood “Lin” Robbins, Sr.  age 60, of Currie, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Wilmington on September 29, 1956, the son of  the late William A. Robbins and Jean Elizabeth Green Robbins; he also was preceded by his son, Robert Linwood “Robbie” Robbins, Jr.; his sister Sandra and brother Lindy.

He is survived by his wife Pat Cross Robbins of the home; children, Lakara Schaus and husband Jake  of Hampstead and Elizabeth Robbins of Currie, Step-daughter, Christine Bond and husband Phil of Wilmington; Sisters, Darlene Fowler of Rocky Point, Sherian Robbins of Rocky Point and Dianne Benton of Wilmington; Grandchildren, Jacob Raynor, Christopher Justice, Elijah Midgette, Jared Schaus, Jada Schaus, Leigha Midgette and Greenlee Robbins; Great Grandchildren, Savannah Justice.

Lin was a beloved husband and father.  He truly admired and cherished his wife and children and was dedicated to his Heavenly Father and is now safe and secure in His arms. Lin was also a member of Castle Hayne Christian Advent Church.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 7:00pm till 7:30pm on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at the Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church, 2710 Hermitage Rd, Castle Hayne, NC 28429. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:30pm, Reverend Randall Smith officiating.
