Robert had a successful career with GE aviation for 36 years starting in Lynn, MA, as a GE apprentice. In 1980, Robert transferred to Wilmington, NC for the startup of the aircraft engine division of GE. Over the years he advanced to have a very successful career earning many awards and accolades. He retired at the age of 55 to enjoy his love of golf, travelling, music, and playing cards with his PVCC friends. Robert was a member of Pine Valley Country Club for 40 years, and was very proud of the two holes in one. Most of all he loved his family and always had them close to him. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather that we lovingly called honey. Everyone knew he was a true Boston sports fan, because he always sported a logo hat or jacket displaying the teams. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

    Pat Thomas says:
Dear Linda and boys, I'm so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Jack will probably meet him on some heavenly vista as I'm pretty sure their card playing days are done. Jack went ahead just three weeks ago to be one of the greeters. He and lefty are surly glad to hear some new stories. My love to you all.
