    Joe Maples says:
I was Golf Director at the Boone Golf Club where Steve played his college golf. I was always impressed with what a nice, decent young man he was. It seems like such a short time ago and I am saddened at his passing at such a relatively young age. May the "peace that passes all understanding" be with you at this time and in the days and weeks to come.

Steve and I were co-workers at FICO, sharing work and advice often. I shall truly miss his authentic Southern accent and Nawth Karlina twang.
