Robert “Steve” Sullivan, age 65, of Hampstead, NC went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 1, 2015 after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.

He was born on May 12, 1949 in Charlotte, North Carolina the son of the late Robert D. Sullivan and Frances Teressia Everidge.

Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Lillian Saieed Sullivan; sons, Billy (Amanda) Sullivan and James (Dorothy) Sullivan both of Hampstead, NC and Doug (Angie) Alexander of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren; sisters, Janine (Jack) Hagopian and Melanie (Michael) Coyle of Charlotte, NC ; brothers, Erby Everidge of Hinton, WV, James Everidge of Fort Mill, SC, and David (Jennifer) Sullivan of Charlotte, NC; and a beloved canine companion, Boogie.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Mason Harbor Yacht Club, 7439 Nautica Yacht Club Drive, Wilmington, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 or the Charity of One’s Choice.

    Althought I never met Robert personally, I spoke with his wife many times. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. My sympathies go out to all.
