Roberta Lynn McNabb

Roberta Lynn McNabb, age 58 of Rocky Point, NC, passed away at her home on May 22, 2021.

Lynn was born on September 14, 1962 in Lumberton, NC to Nathan David and Anne Lovin McNabb.

Lynn served proudly in the United States Army National Guard. She was the first female to join the South Carolina National Guard. She had a great career in the radio industry that began in rock and roll, beach, country, and ended in gospel at WSTS in Fairmont, NC. She was an on air personality, an emcee, a radio engineer, and even repaired equipment. She loved meeting and interacting with fans and friends, producing, and editing. She interviewed numerous singer/songwriters. She lovingly cared for her grandmother and mother for many years. Lynn and her family took many trips to the mountains, beaches, space launches, and other adventures. Lynn loved her family and making sure everyone was okay. Even in the last few weeks of her life, she was still making sure that everyone else was taken care of. Lynn loved to work on cars. All her friends and family knew who to come to when they had car trouble. She also enjoyed fishing. Lynn was blessed to have two more fishing trips with family just before she passed.

Lynn is survived by her mother Anne Lovin McNabb, her brother Toy Lovin (Sharon), her sisters Angel Hunt, Karen Sue Kropp (Eric Costley), and Jo Ann McNabb (Vann Ivey), her nephews Shane (Karen), Dustin (Beverly), Terry Len, Zack (Amanda), and Alan, her niece Christy, and many wonderful great nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her father, Nathan David.

Lynn’s family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.

    Karen Carver says:
Lynn was always such a hard worker! I remember that she was a manager at the Circle K near my house and one day I went in to the store and everything was a wreck. Well, I found out Lynn was no longer working there and things fell apart immediately without her and the work ethic so few seem to have now. Lynn will be greatly missed in this earthly world but heaven is now blessed with her presence.
