Robin Sue Walker, age 64, left this world on June 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration. With a life filled with meaningful connections, her departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.
Born on September 3, 1958, in Washington, DC, Robin was a beacon of light from the very beginning. Throughout her years, she touched the lives of countless individuals, and her warm spirit and kind heart remain etched in their memories.
Robin embodied the values of hard work and dedication. For over twenty years, she was an integral part of Corning, Inc., where she made a lasting impact. Her commitment and unwavering determination served as an inspiration to her colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond her professional achievements, Robin had a deep passion for the arts. She found solace and joy in knitting and crocheting, bringing beauty to life through her creations. As a beloved member of the “Robin Club,” she fostered a community of like-minded individuals who shared her love for this craft.
Another artistic pursuit she adored was working with flowers, meticulously arranging them with care and precision. Through her talents, she brightened many lives, spreading beauty and happiness wherever she went.
Family and friendship were central to Robin’s life. She cherished her loved ones and valued each moment spent with them. Survived by two brothers, Andrew J. Walker, Jr., and David Todd, and their caring spouses, Amy and Carey respectively, Robin leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate within her family.
Robin was blessed with the precious gift of a nephew Hunter Walker, who held a special place in her heart. The bond they shared was a testament to the unconditional love that exists between generations.
Among her dear friends, Robin held a special place in her heart for Robin Milligan and Cassandra Gilley and her family were also an important part of Robin’s life, providing further evidence of the positive impact she had on those around her. Her special pet, “Shag,” brought immeasurable joy and companionship, forming an unbreakable bond that uplifted her spirit. . Their bond was forged through shared experiences and unwavering support, creating a friendship that transcended time.
Robin was an active member of Mc Clure Memorial Presbyterian Church in Castle Hayne, where her faith provided solace and support. The community she found there nurtured her spirit and contributed to her incredible journey.
Services to honor and celebrate Robin’s life will be 10:00 AM Friday July 7, 2023 in Mc Clure Memorial Presbyterian Church, followed by interment in Riley’s Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent, in her memory, to the Duke Cancer Center in Durham, NC.
Today, as we bid farewell to our beloved Robin , let us remember her vibrant spirit, her love for life, and the inspiration she brought into every room she entered. Though gone from our sight, she will forever remain in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the legacy she left behind.
