Roger Elmond Phillips 76, of Rocky Point died peacefully Tuesday July 13, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Surviving are his wife Mary Ruth, children Sharon Hewett and husband Earl, Annette DeGroodt-Pettet and husband Terry, Howard Phillips and wife Lucille, Glenn Phillips and wife Lynn, siblings Diane Davis and Sherwood Phillips, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Friday, July 16, 2010 at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service where the family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
