Roger Stanley Kueffer, 66 of Wilmington passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Kueffer was the son of the late Stanley Kueffer and Nanny Gross Kueffer. Born in California, MO, he migrated to Wilmington, NC in 2001 after a lifetime of traveling the country working in the computer industry for companies such as Data Point, Nortel, and Northrop Grumman. He proudly served for eight years in the US Air Force during the Veitnam War.
Roger was an avid Nascar fan especially the #3 car of Dale Earnhardt. His love of cars led him to restore a 1965 GTO. As a member of the National Pontiac Club and participant in many local car shows, he shared his passion with others. This mechanical expertise highlighted his reputation as the ‘Neighborhood Lawn Mower Repair guy’.
Roger and his wife and soul mate, Mary Lou, attended services at Wrightsboro United Methodist Church. They helped with the food pantry, picking up donations from the Food Bank, and stocking shelves.
He will be dearly missed. He was so loved by so many. “Be strong for us our dear Roger, and watch over us as you find peace in the Lord.”
