Memorial Gifts & Donations

Ronnie Terrell Loftis, 70, passed away on September 7th, 2013 in Carolina Beach NC.

Ron was born in Walhalla SC, and spent the majority of his life in the Carolinas. He loved the water and moved to Carolina Beach in 2012 with his dog Beau where he was living out his retirement. He was most proud of his time in the United States Air Force where he served his country in the Vietnam War. Ron lived every day to fullest with friends, family, and anybody else who happened to be there at the time. He always had a kind word and a smile on his face. His charm, wit, and “larger than life” personality brightened the days of everyone around him throughout his entire life.

Ron is survived by his son & daughter in law, Dale & Christi Loftis, his two grandsons, Grayson Terrell and Tanner Macklin Loftis, and his best friend of the last 20 years, Marsha Loftis.

A military memorial service will be held to honor Ron at the Salisbury National Cemetery at 1:00pm on September 20th, 2013. The cemetery address is 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury NC 28144.

In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to The Air Force Aid Society at www.afas.org in Ron’s honor.

Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Mr. Loftis was on the best neighbors anyone could ask for. After a long days work, he and Beau always brought a smile to my face. Sometimes I was lucky enough to enjoy brownies hot out of the oven, just because he was that kind of man. He will truly be missed by all!!!
