Ruby Ruth Taylor Fox, 78, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at her home.
Born on October 22, 1934 in Marion, NC, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Broadus and Clara Chapman Taylor. She worked as a nurse in Marion with Dr. Ragaz for many years before moving to Wilmington in 1972. She was an avid reader, loved Nascar, the Atlanta Braves, and especially cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her two special great-grandchildren.
Surviving, are two sons, Glenn Fox (Wanda) of Crystal River, FL, Jeff Fox of Wilmington, NC; two daughters, Jo Ann Johnston (David) of Greenville, NC, Patty Fox of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Virginia Norton of Marion, NC; five grandchildren, Amanda Mace, Chrystal Fox, Melissa M. Giedemann (Teddy), Hunter Fox, Hailey Fox; and two special great-grandchildren, Parker Mace and Carmen Fox. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bobby Glenn Fox, Sr. and numerous brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be 11 am Tuesday at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Zimmer Cancer Center and Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
