Ruby Floyd Spivey 91, of Middle Sound, Wilmington passed away Thursday July 25, 2013 at her home with her family at her side.

Ruby was born March 21, 1922 in Horry County, SC the daughter of the late Samuel Walker and Bessie Phillips Floyd. Preceding her in death were her husband James C. Spivey, son James C. Spivey, Jr., and son-in-law Marvin Miller.

Surviving are daughters Linda Rodgers and Patsy Miller, Sisters Magalene Horton and Jo Lane, grandchildren Jamie, Rusty, Neil, LeAnn, Sherry, Jim, and Tom; great-grandchildren Brandy, Jesse, Jessica, Robbie, Tiffany, Bobby, Courtney, Nicole, Trevor, Hannah, Will, Shea, Jaycee, Trent, and Holt great-great-grandchildren Marshall, McKenzie, Hunter, Vincent, Jaylynn, and Steven.

Ruby was an active member of Scott Hills Baptist Church where a Celebration will be conducted 11: 00 AM Monday July 29, 2013. Burial will be in Oleander Memorial Gardens. Reverend Phil Ortego will officiate.

The family will see friends Sunday from 3 – 5 PM at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
