Ruby M (Meador) Woollaston (1937 – 2010) of Wilmington, NC – formerly West Fort Ann, New York.

Ruby left this life to start a new journey. She leaves behind her daughters; Joelene (Woollaston) Davidson of Glens Falls, NY and Sharlene Woollaston of Wilmington, NC along with their sons; Lee Anthony Davidson of Fort Edward, NY and Christopher Valentine of Wilmington, NC. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Stafford Woollaston and her daughter Gaylene Woollaston.

Ruby enjoyed a life of 50 years with her husband, Anthony Woollaston. They shared a quiet life in the Adirondack Mountains and satisfied another love of traveling in their RV. She enjoyed working with arts and crafts, gardening and watching the deer from her home in New York.

I would like to thank Dr. Persaud, Dr. Michael Carter and Cape Fear Hospital for all the compassion and care that they gave Mom towards the end. I could not have been able to give her the care I did these past months if it were not for the help Mom and I received from Community Home Care and Hospice. I cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for their team.
We keep her memories safe in our hearts as we send her off with our Love.

    Joelene and Sharlene, My sympathies to you both. I really enjoyed your family. Your parents were great people and I remember the bus rides home with your sister, and the good times we had. The interaction we all had at the West Fort Ann Church, and the various other memories as we all grew up.     My condolences to the family on your loss. I dated Gayle at the time of her accident and have fond memories of her and her Mustang. She was so full of life and fun to be with. I called Ruby several years ago to let her know her daughter was loved and even though it's been a long time, she will never be forgotten.
