So sorry to hear about Ruth Syre's death. I had the pleasure of working with her at Centra as a fellow Home Heath worker and with Congregational Health. She was a great encourager and showed dedication to patients and caregivers. I also had the pleasure of working with Ruth on a Peaks Pilgrimage. The Light of Christ definitely shined through Ruth in her words and music. I will truly miss her. De Colores

Ruth's family, you are held in my prayers in this sad time for you. Ruth and I crossed paths through public health nursing, faith community nursing, and in clinical pastoral education. In every way, she was the model of faith, compassion, and wisdom -all given in a self-effacing manner and with a smile. Our daughter and grandson were blessed by visits from her which help to maintain the quality of their lives. She spoke of you children frequently with joy and pride.
