Christopher Ryan Owen, 26 of Wilmington passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012.

He was born in Wilmington on October 15, 1985.

Ryan graduated from Laney High School in 2003. He was a Honor Student and a member of the Air Force ROTC. After high school he attended Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, and was formerly an auto technician at Capital Ford.

Ryan is survived by his mother and step father Kathy and Jim Fallon; father, Alan Owen; sister, Samatha McCarroll; maternal grandmother, Frances Hellyer; and paternal grandmother, Ann Campbell Owen; uncles and aunts; Curtis and Alice Wasner; Richard and Melinda Cheshire; Sue and Eddie Hunley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved him very much.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Wednesday August 8, 2012 from 1 to 3 pm at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. At the request of the family, please dress casual.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Ryan, You were the funniest kid... Ive known u all of ur life.. my goodness i used to babysit u.. jeez im old. I will never forget watching Cops with u.. it was one of ur favorites way bac then, u would bounce all around the house jumping on the couch singin... Bad boys,bad boys whatcha gonna do... what a delightful child u were.. and a wonderful man u became.. I will always remember u as that little boy singing laughing and dancing... I love you! Rest in peace our sweet angel..
