S. Leroy “Bones” Courtright, 87 of Pineville, NC, beloved father and husband of 57 years to the late Lorene Courtright, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harry Courtright and Margaret Hoy Courtright Pinkerman. He also was preceded in death by brothers, Joel Courtright, George Courtright and John Courtright. Leroy began his career in 1944 with the Pennsylvania Railroad. He continued with the railroad for 47 years retiring with Conrail. Mr. Courtright served proudly with the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Tracey Courtright of Fort Mill, SC and Linda Lorenzetti and husband Greg of Johns Creek, GA and one son, David Courtright of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Margaret Beavers of Hespiretta, CA.; five grandchildren, Nicole, Laura, Ryan Lorenzetti, Meghan Pomrenke and Casey Courtright; two great grandchildren, James Courtright III and Damien Courtright.
Graveside services will be Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
