Sally Elizabeth Cummings Horne

Sally Elizabeth Cummings Horne, 77, of Wilmington, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Harold I. Horne.

Sally was born in Aberdeen, NC, on August 24, 1938 and had worked as a telemetry technician in the Cardiology Department of New Hanover Regional Medical Center until her retirement. She was a member of the God’s House of Praise in Leland

Besides her husband Harold, Sally leaves her sons, Michael Douglas Ward, Glenn Douglas Ward, Ricky Allen Ward, and Christopher Brian Ward, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Edgar and Mary Florence Wilson Cummings, her daughters, Deborah Jean Ward and Patricia Sue Smith, her sons, Bobby Eugene Ward, Donald Lane Ward, and Ronald Lane Ward, and 3 brothers.

Her visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Earl Hewett officiating. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Park.
