Salvatore LoIacono, age 67 of Leland passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013,

He was born in Italy on February 7, 1946. His parents were the late Matteo and Vincenza LoIacono.

Sal was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army in 1966 to 1967. He was a master carpenter and craftsman and worked in New York. He retired from Rocky Point, Long Island, New York and moved to Leland in 2005.

Sal is survived by his wife, Michele Sinnott LoIacono; two sons, Matthew LoIacono and Martin LoIacono; and grandsons, Nicholas, Casey, and Daniel; brother, Mario LoIacono; two nieces, Jesse Smith and Jennie Savickas, and two great nephews, Jack and Gavin; and sisters-in-law, Patricia Sinnott, and Diane Dick.

The family will see friends from 4-6 PM Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, where the funeral service will be 10 am Monday, April 15, 2013.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Rd., Suite # 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
