I am so very deeply saddened to learn of your mother's passing. What a remarkable lady, she was, as well as a good friend! I met Sandra while doing a supervisory visit on one of my aides at a client's home. Sandra was doing a nurse visit. We struck up a professional friendship, which turned into a more personal one. We did not get to see each other, as much as I would have like to, due our schedules. Sandra seemed to appear in my life at the times that I needed her the most. When I had a compound fracture of my right leg and was homebound in a wheelchair for 8 months, Sandra would occasionally drop by with lunch and sit and socialize with me. When my mother was in CCU, she was my mom's nurse. When my Mom was going to have colonscopy, Sandra was her nurse. When Mom was hospitalized for Merkel cell cancer to her face, Sandra was her nurse. I remember Sandra's fantastic 4th of July parties. She so loved people. She will be truly missed.
