Sara Benson Prince, 90, of Wilmington died May 14, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

She was born in Reidsville, Ga. on January 17, 1923 to the late James and Emma Lynn Benson. Sara symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism on June 8, 1974 and remained a faithful servant until her death. She attended the Sunset Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wilmington.
Sara followed Jesus command to tell others about Jehovah God’s wonderful promises for the future. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 37:29.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Sunset Park, 1828 S. 16th St., Wilmington.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Prince, 6 sisters & one brother.

She is survived by her son Lloyd Prince and wife Polly, Aubrey “Buddy” Prince, Jr. and wife Anna, daughter Emma George and husband Joe, son Charles Prince and wife Linda; grandchildren, Paul Prince and wife Vicki, Toni Hawkins and wife Janeen, Lynn Quick and husband Wesley, Chris Lappin and husband Daniel, Jeff Prince and wife Nicole, John Prince, Rebekah Prince, Tonya Ludlum and husband Brandon, and Stephanie Prince; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; Greta Johnson, who was like a sister to Sara, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the Prince family would appreciate any memorial contributions be made to Sunset Park Congregation, 1828 S. 16th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401 or to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
