Sarah Caroline Abrams Gedney, 88 of Leland passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Gedney is the daughter of the late James Clark Abrams, II and
Lillian Sommers Abrams; she also was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Gedney, Sr.

Survivors include two daughters, Devon E. Gedney of Leland, NC and Allyson G. Dotson of Ridgefield, CT.;two sons, Richard H. Gedney, Jr. of Cold Spring, NY and Rex B. Gedney of Norwalk, CT. and seven grandchildren.

The family plans to hold a service in Rye, NY at a later time.

The family ask that you give a memorial to Elderhaus Pace at 2222 S. 17th St. Wilmington, NC 28401.

The family would like say how much they appreciate the love and care that was given to their mother by Elderhaus Pace.

    Sarah is such a lovely person! I remember her as always giving and full of spunk. I miss the talks we had, and her "unbirthday parties" for my kids. So much love and kindness! Our deepest condolences and love to Sarah's family.
