Scott Powers, age 59, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, May 11,2021, at his home.

He was born in Plainfield, NJ on March 4, 1962, the son of Don Daniel Powers and Sandra King Powers.

Scott worked for many years as a self employed Carpenter.

Scott is survived by his mother Sandra; daughters Tanya Rose Powers and Nicole Powers and sons Scott Slien and Patrick Ryan Powers. He is also survived by his sisters Donna Powers, Pamela Powers, Karen Richard, Tammy Freeman and Nicky Freeman, five nieces, seven nephews and many special friends. Scott loved everyone unconditionally.

Scott is predeceased by his father, Don Daniel Powers, step father Dennis Richard, brother Patrick Powers and nephews Angelo Libman and Scottie Libman.

Condolence visits may be made at the family residence, 2019 Shirley Road, Wilmington.

    I am so very sorry to hear about Scott. My name is Deborah Derkack and Scott and I were good friends growing up on Pleasant Valley Road in Old Bridge ,N.J. Besides living on Pvr we went to High School together,Cedar Ridge. I moved there in 1974 and became friends with Scott. He made everyday special in some unique way. Wether he’d be getting on the bus to school or lunch time in the cafeteria he owned the radio and would change the channel tuning in his favorite songs, while singing on top the table playing his imaginary Fender guitar. The crowd (kids)would go wild cheering him on, teachers too. He was always Happy,polite,and always made everyday interesting. We shared a lot of concerts,Queen was the Best. Walked a lot of miles together on Pvr until we got dirt bikes. Also had kinda our own baseball field (Quackenbush) and ice skating pond where we skated in the winter. I could go on and on thinking back of all the great times Scott and I shared. He was so Full of Life and made everyday special. I’m so sorry for your Loss. Your all in my Thoughts and Prayers.
