Shamsi Drakhshanpour, age 81, of Wilmington, passed surrounded by her family on Monday, December 23, 2013.

Shamsi was born on May 8, 1932 in Ghazvin, Iran. She was married to the late Ehson Drakhshanpour.

Surviving Mrs. Drakhshanpour are her daughter, Roya Weyerhaeuser and husband, Henry; sons, Shahriar Drakhshanpour and wife Marisa and Hossein Drakhshanpour and wife Diane; and grandchildren, Ian Weyerhaeuser, Darius and Shohleh Drakhshanpour.

A reception will be held at the Cameron Art Museum on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 6-8 P.M.
