Shane Michael McEachern was born August 30, 1989 to Terrance and Kari McEachern of Wilmington, NC. Shane passed away on March 6, 2014 after a lifelong battle with a rare autoimmune disorder.

Shane brought a gentle light to all who knew him and leaves cherished memories to his parents Terry and Kari, his brother and best friend Cory; sister in law, Dani; grandparents Tom and Judy McEachern and Bruce and Karen Rhodes; his fiancé Qiana, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Shane’s strength over the years with all of his medical issues and hospital stays made all who were close to him stronger. His gentle spirit and love of life made all around him happy and will help us all pay attention to the simple but most important things in life. Love and Happiness !

I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. May these words give you a new hope.

You will never be forgotten, I will always love you like a brother! All those years in Hanover Park, in the party van, playing basketball in your driveway, playing video games... And to move halfway across the country and still hang out twice a year was a blast. You touched so many lives. Rest in peace my friend
