Memorial Gifts & Donations

Sharon Kay Latham, born on September 24, 1956, in York, Pennsylvania, left this world on September 22, 2023, in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends as she peacefully transitioned to her eternal home. Sharon was 66 years old at the time of her passing.

Throughout her life, Sharon touched the hearts of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering positivity. She had a way of inspiring those around her, always reminding them to cherish each day and find joy in life’s simplest moments.

Sharon was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters, Melissa Stancil and Heather Williams, who were her pride and joy. She cherished every moment spent with them and held a special place in her heart for her five adoring grandchildren, Mackenzie, Chase, Damien, Reign, and Raven; her former husband, James Latham of Leland, NC. Sharon’s love for her family knew no bounds, and she was always there to offer support, guidance, and a listening ear.

In addition to her role as a mother and grandmother, Sharon shared a deep bond with her brother, Roy Funk of San Diego, CA. Their connection was unbreakable, and they often found solace and strength in one another’s company.

Sharon’s positive influence extended far beyond her immediate family, as she had an incredible ability to make lifelong friends wherever she went. Her warmth, sincerity, and infectious laughter made her a treasured friend to many. Sharon’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Sharon, we invite all who loved and cared for her to join us in celebrating her life. A formal service will be held at a later date, where we will gather to honor Sharon’s memory and share stories of the beautiful person she was.

Sharon Kay Latham will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all. May we carry her legacy of love, kindness, and positivity with us as we navigate our own journeys. Rest in eternal peace, dear Sharon.
