Shawn Israel Tomlison, age 42 of Wilmington passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center.
Shawn was born in Maron, Indiana on March 5, 1980 to William Lee “Bill” Tomlinson and Sandra Kay Summers Tomlinson.
Shawn was a dedicated employee of Sams Club in Wilmington for almost 23 years, serving the last several years as a Team Leader. During his time away from work, he enjoyed spending time with his family, talking and playing games. He had a great sense of humor, always enjoyed a good joke, and loved making others smile and laugh. Shawn was an active and vital part of the church, and he loved doing life with his church family. He will always be remembered as being a dedicated and loving husband and father, a trustworthy and faithful son and brother and kind and loyal friend.
Shawn is survived by his wife of 21 years, Angela Suggs Tomlinson; his daughter, Daisy Eva Tomlison; his mother Sandra Kay Summers Tomlinson; two younger brothers, Aaron Tomlinson (Dusty) and Mark Tomlinson (Crystal), loving in-laws, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and many more extended family members.
Memorial services will be held 7 pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at Hampstead Baptist Church 67 Factory Road, Hampstead, NC led by Rev. Rod West. Family will greet friends starting an hour before the services.
