Shirley Ann Freeman Villanueva, 68, of Leland, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
Shirley was born in Shreveport, LA, on April 22, 1948 and had lived in Leland for many years where she was loved by so many people who had come to know her in her life as well as with her work at Brunswick Cove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Blas F. Villanueva, and her parents, Eugene and Lorena Ayres Freeman.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Morgan and her husband Gary of Winnebow, Kimberly Bosarge of KY, Christopher Villanueva and Lorraine Villanueva, both of Wilmington, her dear friend Linda Croom and numerous loving grandchildren.
The family would like to offer special thanks to all of her many friends who have been very supportive during this trying time.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
